03Options flow
Where the money went
The Flow page showed 736 large trades; 458 had a clear direction, worth $782.6M. Bullish share was 57%, above the typical 52% (the median of the last 20 sessions on file).
Among single stocks, technology led with $215.2M of directional money, net bullish.
What stood out
The largest single trade was in SPX: bought 500 $7,000 calls expiring Nov. 20, a bullish print worth $42.2M, 9% of all bullish money. Without it the day was 55% bullish. It looks like closing an older position.
By sector
Net directional premium by sector (bullish minus bearish); bar length is the size of the net.
“Bought” means a trade printed at the ask and “sold” at the bid. We cannot see who is on the other side or why a trade was placed, so read these as activity, not as a call on direction.
04The Big Bet
The largest new options position of the session
$340 put sold · expires Dec. 18, 2026
Drawn to scale. Shading marks the side of the breakeven where the position pays at expiry; green pays, red does not.
At 9:54 a.m., a trader sold 6,000 Dec. 18 $340 puts at the bid, collecting $7.8M ($1,306 a contract). The seller starts losing below $326.94, 6.3% below the close. It looks like a new position rather than the closing of an old one.
GOOG closed at $348.99, having gained 0.33% on the day. The seller keeps the full $7.8M if it finishes above $340 at expiry and starts losing below $326.94, 6.3% below the close, with 10 weeks left.
Our levels for GOOG: closed just above the Floor.

07Setups for tomorrow

09One thing to learn
A short lesson
What a breakeven is
A breakeven is the stock price at expiry where a trade neither makes nor loses money. For a bought call it is the strike plus the price paid per share, for a bought put the strike minus the price paid. The stock has to travel past it, not just past the strike, before the buyer is ahead.
