Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Aether collects when you use Æther at aethertrading.app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We provide the Service through aethertrading.app and related subscription features. We are Aether, a sole proprietorship based in California, USA.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account and subscription information from our payment processor: When you purchase a subscription, we may receive your account email address and information needed to identify your subscription status and provide access to paid features.
- Sign-in information: If you sign in with Discord, Google, or Microsoft, that provider shares your email address with us (and, for Discord, your account ID) so we can identify your account and match it to your subscription. We never receive your password for those services.
- Usage and analytics information: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-less, to understand basic usage and performance, such as page views and general traffic patterns. This is used to improve and monitor the Service, not to build advertising profiles.
- Preferences and settings: We may store preferences, settings, watchlists, or similar choices you save while using the Service on our servers so that your experience is consistent between sessions.
- Support communications: If you email us or contact us for support, we collect your email address, message content, and any information you choose to include.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Our payment processor processes payments for subscriptions. Any payment-card information you provide is handled by the processor and its payment partners under their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information except where you voluntarily provide it in support communications, and we ask that you not send sensitive personal information unless necessary to resolve your issue.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- provide, operate, and secure the Service;
- authenticate your account and subscription;
- remember your preferences and settings;
- respond to support requests;
- send service-related messages, such as account, billing, renewal, outage, or policy notices;
- improve the Service and understand general usage trends;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
- enforce these Terms and our Refund Policy; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and local storage only for functional purposes, such as maintaining your session, keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, or supporting security.
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies for analytics tracking. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising cookies on the Service.
5. Third Parties
We may use the following third parties to operate the Service:
- Payment processor: Handles subscription purchases, payment processing, and related subscription management. The processor may receive payment and transaction information necessary to process your order. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Cloudflare: Provides cookie-less web analytics and may assist with performance, availability, and security.
- Market-data providers: We may license market data used to produce analytics, but we do not provide your personal data to market-data providers.
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the security or integrity of the Service, prevent fraud or abuse, protect our rights, or respond to a lawful request.
6. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After cancellation, we may retain limited records as necessary for billing history, support history, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations, and then delete or anonymize the information when no longer needed.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
California Privacy Notice
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California consumer privacy law, commonly referred to as CCPA, including rights to request access to and deletion of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising certain privacy rights. We do not sell personal information.
GDPR Basics for Users in the EU/EEA/UK
If you are located in the European Economic Area, European Union, or United Kingdom, you may have rights under applicable data-protection law, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, where those rights apply.
We may process personal information on the basis that it is necessary to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, with your consent where required, or to comply with legal obligations.
Your information may be processed in the United States, including California. Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority, though we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will delete it as soon as practicable.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service, by email, through your account, or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the updated policy takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
